CR October issue

Posted by: admin In: Creative Review

The bumper October issue includes 90 extra pages of fantastic images in our Photography Annual plus features on Golden, the Tesch brothers and more

As with previous Photography Annual issues, it’s a double issue with all the normal content on one side, turn it over, start again from the back and you have the Photography Annual.

And, as also in previous issues, November comes with three different alternate sets of covers, making six cover images in all (one on the issue side, one on the Photography Annual side). Shown above are all six cover images.

Best in Book projects featured in the Photography Annual include Julie Fisher’s Chain of Hope 2 project about a hospital in Addis Ababa

Jane Maxwell-Hyslop‘s study of model railway enthusiasts

And Andrew Meredith‘s grisly Slaughtermen series

Plus lots of of other fantastic images

On the issue side, we have a feature on the 20 designers commissioned by Domenic Lippa of Pentagram and Sir John Sorrell to create a poster about London for the London Design Festival

The second of our exclusive extracts from Adrian Shaughnessy’s new book, Graphic Design: A User’s Manual

An interview with Johan and Måns Tesch, digital advertising pioneers and chairs of this year’s Click London conference

A profile on Leeds-based studio Golden, founded by two former tDR staffers

Plus, in Crit, Eliza Williams looks at Chevolution, a documentary about Korda’s famous photograph of Che

And This is Real Art’s Paul Belford reviews Art Direction Explained, At Last!

The October issue of CR is available from September 24
